Has anyone replaced an engine on a G90 need some real-world experiences

My 2018 G90 5.0L just reached 85,000 miles, and now it's making some worrying noises from the bottom end. The dealer gave me a quote of $18,000 for a new engine. Before I decide to go through with that or explore other options, I'd like to know if anyone here has experienced an engine replacement on their G90.

I have a 2019 G90 5.0L I picked up last year with 60k miles. No engine issues so far, but I asked a local shop just in case and they said a rebuild with used parts would cost around $10–12k, way cheaper than the dealer's $18k. I'd check with a good local mechanic before making a big decision.
