Seeing more noise online about a possible lawsuit brewing over Genesis pulling connected care from the G90 and other models lol, I use a 2021 G90, and like a lot of you, I lost all the remote services when they shut down the 3G network with no retrofit, no real alternative, and definitely no refund. Now there's talk that some owners are pushing back legally, personally it looks like it's just gon be early stage class action buzz and I doubt as much as I hope that something will actually be filed, I know this has been going on since 2023 or so, so did something actually happen? or it ended up being buzz

As far as I know things are at a standstill at the moment. Considering what owners are asking, what Genesis is saying and how the entire case gets played out I think it's gona be a shitshow with no happy ending for all affected ones. Hope I'm wrong

Hmm, I think there is a proposed class action regarding Genesis and Hyundai disabling connected services when 3G went poof. But I don't think it has turned into a full lawsuit in court yet. I'm not really sure. Can't go too deep into this law thing.

I recall when OnStar had a similar issue with my uncle's old Cadillac. One day, just like that, no remote unlock, no tracking, nothing at all. There were a lot of frustrated owners back then, but eventually, it all blew over. It seems like this situation might end up the same way, but who can say for sure?

Yes it's real, a class action lawsuit (e.g., Tamburo, et al. v. Hyundai Motor America) was filed in early 2023 over the loss of 3G-dependent services. It's now in arbitration.
however don't expect a fast, universal retrofit or refund right now. The legal process is slow

Yeah, I've heard about that too. It's definitely legit, but like with most class actions, it's a waiting game. No quick fixes or payouts anytime soon
