So my wife gave me that look the other day, sat down in the car and the passenger airbag light didn't come on. I heard the passenger airbag system on the G90 can be a little finicky!
The guys here got good ideas but I'd recommend taking it to the dealership or a trusted mechanic.
They can run diagnostics on the occupant classification system and see if there are any error codes or if a sensor needs recalibration or replacement.
It's a quick fix most of the time.
Plus, it'll ensure the airbag deploys as it should in an accident!

May be the sensor mat or the wiring under the seat acting up, have a dealer check it out, especially if it's still under warranty, that'd be the first thing I woulda done tho

I'm sure it's an electronic problem and not the car trying to say something. You can scan it yourself, or you can take it to the dealer. If you ask me if it's still under warranty, I'd take it to the dealer.

I had something like that occur in my old sedan,the passenger airbag light would randomly flicker on and off based on how someone sat or shifted in the seat. It turned out that there was a minor wiring issue with the seat sensor pad. The dealer did a quick diagnostic, recalibrated the system, and it's been working perfectly ever since. It's definitely a good idea to get it checked out, especially since it's still under warranty. You can never be too careful when it comes to airbag systems

Thanks for all your suggestions. My wife got it to the dealer before I did, apparently I was more nonchalant and always busy lol. Anyway it was a faulty sensor as most of you must have suggested and also a little severed wire somewhere
